Why do I need it?

Batteries are subject to registration. This also applies to batteries that are installed in electrical devices or are otherwise included in the scope of delivery (provided these have not already been registered by your supplier).
Anyone who places batteries or devices with built-in or enclosed batteries for the purpose of distribution, consumption or use in Germany is affected.
If the necessary registrations have not already been fulfilled by your suppliers, this obligation is transferred to the distributor.
